He will get no credit for the win. Even if he KO's Mosley, it would still be a lame win over a 40 year old fighter who clearly doesn't have it any longer. He should go after Malignaggi for that title. Nevermind beating the older guys with names. Fight the guy who's your cheif rival at the moment. That fighter is Malignaggi.

No disrespect to Shane, but he's a step backwards for Alexander after convincingly beating Maidana. And shame on the promoters/matchmakers for even considering this fight; Mosley is a shot and beaten old fighter who doesn't need to take any more punishment in the ring, especially from a young prime fighter....

Malignagi vs Mosley would be a good fight for Shane. He would have a good chance to retire as champ of one organization.

I hope HBO or Showtime doesn't waste any of their budget on this **** fight. This is only acceptable as a Friday Night Fight main event on ESPN.

                      Vultures.

We have to remember, this is a business. A fight with Mosley can be the difference between incremental pay and paying off debt/setting up your kid's college fund.

Fighters have to fight for money and make business decisions to maximize their career efforts. Unfortunately that can many times come at the expense of an older fighter who is functionally past it.

I hope it doesn't happen, because of course Shane may take it for the chance at a glory win and run. However, he might stick around "too" long.
