Comments Thread For: Haye-Chisora: UK Boxing, a Shot to The Arm or The Head?

After days of speculation, manoeuvring and “Will they/won’t they” conversations it was revealed earlier today that David Haye, 25-2 (23), and Dereck Chisora, 15-3 (9), will meet at Upton Park on July 14 after the Luxembourg Boxing Federation rubberstamped licences for the two men. This move created the conditions necessary to make the bout despite the fact that Chisora’s BBBoC licence was suspended in February following his part in a press conference brawl with Haye. The fact that the vacant, and newly minted, WBO Inter-Continental title is on the line has raised the fight from a grudge non-title affair into the realm of championship boxing.

I don't know what the big fuss is about. This is probably the most exciting boxing fight to be made in quite some time.

Why are people branding this an exciting fight before it even took place? Most of the time these grudge matches end up being lackluster. It probably won't be as exciting as Huck/Povetkin.

This is a ****** article!!! haye was wild against ruiz???? most people would say that was an exciting fight especially against john ruiz!! how can david haye possibly win over anyone if he gets critised about producing an exciting fight with ruiz. **** sake what else can he do.

people blame david haye for sky box office failing yes david haye did not perform to how much he was talking but he still i thought produce a good fight did you see wlad take any over the top chances noooo, haye seemsn the scape goat yes he hyped the fight and talked a lot of **** but mayweather has done that against numerous fights especially against de la hoya and he got credit for beating a part time fighter!!

the main point that i have issue with is the audley harrison fight, i think everyone quite clearly could see that haye did not want that fight but certain people at sky sports or in hayes team convinced him of this, you could see from the press conference immediatily that david haye had a chip on his shoulder about having to fight audley!!

now his it david hayes fault that harrison froze and never tried to win, we already knew that harrison did not haave the real heart and cojones to really put it down when he had too, yes haye should of maybe went for the kill earlier but how can a 3rd TKO be a bad performance, FFS mormeck went 5 rounds with precious wlad what the hell has mormeck done at heavyweight to earn a shot (least harrison had just won the european heavyweight title in a come from behind moment and a great KO)

haye was again the scapegoat for audley harrison not wanting to fight how can haye be responible for that, he never said it was going to be a great fight he said he was going to destroy audley and thats what he did!!!

the fight between dereck and david is a good fight, chisora has grown since the tyson fury where he looked a big of **** but since then he beat robert helinus every single person who watched that fight knowns chisora won that fight and he performed in a decent manner against vitali but all everyone remembers his chisora being a tool and classless n0b!!!

you name one fight the heavyweight division which would create as much as for this fight!! there is no other fight out there, so this crap about the british boxing board who quite frankly are useless anyway is just an excuse to try and complain about this fight. regardless of his behaviour and personal feelings any motivated chisora fight is very entertaining and haye has the speed and power and style to really put it on chisora

i for one dont understand why people can blame haye for stuff that he his powerless for!
