Yeah, I think Khan would pose many more problems to Marquez than Pacquiao does. Hard to say what Marquez would agree to, though. He wants that rematch, and he knows beating Khan would probably seal the deal but losing would destroy his chances. Then again, he may think it's worth a gamble since there's the chance he won't get a rematch without it.

Well, if they strip Peterson and set up a fight between the Two in July for one of his belts... then I say he isn't so much a stepping stone. If Marquez wins, that'll pretty much catapult him to the top of the list to rematch Pacquiao and win a real 140 belt.
Uncle Bob should take advantage of this. If Marquez loses, then Pacquiao doesn't have to rematch him.... if he wins... Uncle bob just keeps getting richer
I really hadn't had time to check this thread, but this guy seems to get it.
Back in 2010, yeah it could have been seen as GBP trying to take advantage of Marquez.
However, a case could be made that these two are clearly the best at 140, and given the fact Peterson might get stripped, along without being licensed........why not fight the soon to be #1 guy for a history 4th belt in 4th class.
IMO Marquez will earn more money, have a shot at history and actually fight a meaningful fight. I mean what is the point in facing Judah or Rios at 140, when Marquez has absolutely nothing to gain from either of those fights.Comment
