Does Jermain Taylor have ANY chance vs Jeff Lacy?

I agree with you, I never considered him great because of his defenses, I just thought he would KO Taylor tonight in convincing fashion to prove himself you know...

but that wasn't successful, I still respect him though and going to keep the avatar...

people judge taylor on the hopkins fights....he couldn't show you all his skills there because he was in with a great fighter, taylor has a lot of power when he can hit you with it, definately more than omar sheika, and his jab would be in lacy's face all night, and his trainer (who is really good) would get him ready for a come foward fighter which would be easier than preparing for a bernard hopkins

this would be a fight for the ages. however, if taylor was to stay off the inside and not trade with lacy the entire fight and work his jab, u never know what could happen. but if taylor ever decides to do any of those hes gonna get KO.

i think Taylor looked horrible against hopkins because of there styles. Many people on here probably havent seen any jermain taylor fights except for the hopkins ones. You cant judge a man by how he fights another. His style would be totaly different against lacy. Bernard hopkins is the type that ducks and dodges, uses cheap shots to win. LAcy is not that type of fighter. He will fight taylor, not try to outlast him. This would make for a different fight. Much more action. Taylor has every shot in the world to beat Lacy, but winky right on the other hand, i dont think taylor can win that. Did you see when hopkins would get off first in the later rounds with his jab. He stunned taylor damn near everytime. What in the hell do you think winky would do. You know the thing is tho, if winky stands there like he did against mosley, he will be going to bed early that night.

One more funny thing i noticed. People stood by for 10 years before people demanded hopkins fight great fighters. Now that taylor is the champ, people are already saying he needs to solidify it by taking on the best. lol

I would think so. The best weapon against a power puncher is a good jab, and Jermains is great! He's not the least bit shy about using it either. If his chin can take Jeff's shots, then he has plenty of chance, IMO.

i think jermian is a solid fighter who has a good chance against anybody
but i havent seen him at 168, and im not sure how his power would hold up against lacy's
