Duran had all the pressure, speed, defense (EXTREMELY underrated), power, tenacity, and most importantly, the intelligence to put a prime 135lb Mayweather through absolute Hell. Floyd would be backed up and mauled on the inside and wouldn't have the sheer talent and abilities that a prime Leonard at 147 had to prevent Duran from decimating him. Do you really think that Floyd's pot shots, shoulder rolls, movement, jabs, and speed would offset the ferocity of a 135lb Duran who was one of the greatest (if not the greatest) 135lb fighter of all time? Floyd literally doesn't have anything to withstand Duran other than his toughness, and would be on the wrong side of a terrible beat down.

I love Floyd ("Pretty Boy" Floyd mostly), but a prime Duran at 135 is one of the absolute worst possible match ups that could be conceived for him if not the worst.
De Jesus was not a better fighter than Floyd at 135...are you serious? Mayweather would beat De Jesus quite clearly and did most things better than De Jesus, beat more champions, won more titles, etc....By the time he move up to 140 he already accomplished more than Dejesus

floyd only had 5 fights there had success at lower weight as you mentioned and also at higher weights...2/5 fights he had at the weight Mayweather had reported injuries and that does hinder you, when he didnt he dominated clearly in Augustus, Castillo 2 and the Ndo fight...also this is prime for prime

...no injuries no extras, etc...neither guy has faced a guy as great as the other at the weight so I cant unerstand how you see Duran just mowing through him...dont be blinded by the fight he was at 147 and 154 past prime

....at 140 and lower Mayweather was a boxer puncher had great reflexes and defense, had more movement and better overall skillset/defense than the guys that beat Duran in his prime Leonard(he was greater ATG than floyd) and De Jesus....also at lightweight Mayweather used his jab more, lateral movement and threw punches in bunches all the time and had good power

saw how the Leonard fight was different when Leonard decided not to fight Duran's fight...Mayweather is a smarter fighter than that and always does what he has to win, regardless of silly pride or trash talk

this is a 50/50 fight dude Duran would do damaged and get damaged himself no walk in the park

I've always been fairly confident Duran wins this fight.

But honestly at 135 in their prime, Mayweather frustrates him, most likely make him quit like Leonard did in their 2nd fight.
          That is ludicrous.

Castillo pressured mayweather all night and beat him in the first fight. Castillo is no Duran. Nobody applied pressure like Duran at lightweight. Duran too good against Mayweather. The tenacity, ferocity of the Hands of stone stops him late
