How does a fighter get exposed when they clearly beat their opponent

Um this is Boxingscene, all you have to do is get a fighter who is decent and they either have an off night or don't dominate as much as they did before and all of a sudden they're exposed. I remember when Dawson lost to Pascal so many people were like "oh he was exposed!" Exposed for what? For being lackadaisical in fights? Everyone already knew that.

his shoulder roll wasnt exposed...Cotto didnt land many hard clean punches...Mayweather ROLLED with most of em...Cotto did land a few good left hooks and right hands, never buzzed him, he did land some good jabs but other than that Mayweather landed majority of the clean shots...who would any of you rather been by the end of round 12?

Exposed would be if he tried to use it and Cotto neutralized it and it was ineffective. He used it and rolled a boatload of punches by Cotto. That's not exposing anything man. If anything Cotto showed once again what a good jab can do by busting up Floyd's nose, but his shoulder roll was still pretty darn effective.
