Second, innocent till proven guilty is a rule of law, not life. Common sense would be a better rule for the latter. I've lived in three countries and visited dozens more. I can assure you that character assassination in politics isn't something that occurs only in the Philippines. And politicians are hardly saints, even if they're someone who shares your heritage. Shocking, I know.
