Cotto may have laid out a plan to beat mayweather

Starting out, great fight... Now, cotto was very effective and would,ve had more success if he had pressed floyd but, we all know his gas tank was never on full meaning he alway,s fades... Now manny is licking his chops because he knows that he won,t fade and will definitely put some leather on mayweather like that lefthand of his... Now, manny will take some punishment but, so will lil floyd and i mean a lot... That would be a fight for the ages... People must respect pacs power and that powerpunching lefthand... Anyone who thinks floyd beats pac easily isn,t being realistic... Maybe we will see the fight or maybe we won,t...if they fought today or tomorrow not being impartial, who wins in your mind????

no, weight and glove size played a huge role. cotto is tough no doubt. but if the fight is @ 147 with 8oz gloves cotto wouldn't last.

there is no way Pacquiao can take mayweathers punches @ 147. none. mayweather would be landing with preceision punches all night long. this fight is a mismatch physcially and skill wise.

No one can do what Cotto did. No one is built like him with also his overall skill level. Pac is not 5'7 162 with legit 154 pound strength. Then the way Cotto crouches, its hard to get under him & get that leverage. He's just very stout. He also had a great game plan by Diaz.

Im tired of people talking about the left hand when it comes to Cotto & Pac. Its not the same thing at all. How is a jab the same thing as a straight left from the power side? They arent even coming from the same side. Its night & day.

Pac would probably throw alot and it could be vicious but the main thing is having the strength to bully Floyd and Pac doesnt have that so it wouldnt have the same effect. Im not even saying that Floyd kills him. Im just saying that I take nothing from the Cotto fight in terms of Pac being either more or less of a problem for Floyd

He laid out a blueprint on how to not get destroyed by Floyd.

A blueprint to keep your dignity.

            Nothing more.

there is no way that small pacman will get into range to land his punches. NONE.

Mayweather would fight with a high guard and literally control distance all fight with his jab and pepper pacquiao with jabs and right hands. fight would be over by round 7-8.

it's a mismatch....there is no way pacquiao weighing 147 lbs would be able to take Mayweather precesion punches all day. NONE.

              Physcial and skill mismatch here.

Totally agree with everything u said...if that's the end all to the debate, then what Mayweather did to JMM should be enough to convince everybody.

Pac DOES NOT have a bullying style or a good jab just to name a few flaws that will show against Floyd.

Ppl always point out Pacs power and stamina like Floyd isn't going to neutralize 95% of those qualities...a stiff pumping jab, his D...not only does Floyd bend at the waist, he moves his feet well and his head...just don't see how ppl say oh Pacs straight left is the answer!!
