I'm trying to see other match ups like Alveraz vs Kirkland, Ortiz vs Khan, Or Berto vs Khan, Bradley vs Berto, Berto vs Khan, Martinez vs Ward etc. There's other fights to be made. Thats my point, every opponent doesn't have to fight floyd mayweather. it takes 6 months to build a solid PPV event and those fighters dont bring nothing major to the table because they haven't fought the best...its simple

Martinez is the middleweight champion of the world, and he brings nothing to the table? PPV wise, I agree he isn't a huge name, but in the boxing world, everyone knows thats a serious fight... and plus, Mayweather's a big enough name to draw interest, and a 24/7 would probably boost interest more...

None of those fighters I named are next in line to fight Floyd. And you guys aren't fans because you hop from fighter to fighter in hopes to find someone that can beat floyd.

listen, there are 2 fights for floyd. pacquiao obviously, and then if he beats him then why not fight martinez? he could do the martinez fight at 154.

so i dont see what the problem is.

Middle Weight vs Welter Weight...a total DREAM FIGHT

FLoyd fights Martinez at any weight other then Middle weight, he wont get any credit for the victory. Martinez will be weight drained and everyone begging for the fight will complain that it ever took place. Lets save the heartache and hate that will be piled up on floyd for facing a drained middle weight & set up Martinez vs Ward or Kirkland. Hell even Red head could fight Martinez..

I agree, there is a big weight different. However, Mayweather himself has spoken about the fight in the past, and it is an interesting match-up.

The weight would be a problem, Martinez fought most of his career at 154, but after being at 160 for a while I do worry that fighting lower may effect him slightly. It's an interesting fight though.

I don't see why you're getting so upset about people wanting Mayweather to fight the biggest challenges out there.

He's a prize fighter, its his job and we pay to watch him do it.

Because we want him to fight the best makes us haters?

Why won't Floyd fight Rust Red Alvarez?

Granted most of the critics saying this are pacfarts and just want to see FLoyd lose by all means. But what gets me is the fact that they claim Floyd went up in weight to avoid Pac, but insist he should fight every junior middle weight all they way up to super middle weight smh....its crazy.
What do you expect from a Pacfart? They are plentiful with the criticism, but have amnesia when it comes to the facts. Right now they are focusing all of their energy on the unfair offer of $40 million that Mayweather made to Pac, claiming that this proves that he is avoiding the fight. They ignore the fact that the reason Mayweather called Pac directly to make the offer was because Bob Arum refused to sit down with Richard Schafer to negotiate a fight for May 5. This is one of a dozen facts that they ignore when they criticize Floyd and blame him for the fight not happening.

FLoyd spoke on the fight because he probably felt obligated to do so. There's only one fight out there for Floyd and thats the Pacquiao fight. If that fight happens this fall then that would be great. If not, I feel that Floyd should hang his gloves up because he's done everything in the sport that could be done. Martinez isn't a great fight for Floyd other then the fact that he's a middle weight. That fighting isn't a career defining fight so he really shouldn't worry bout that fight.

No actually Ive wanted him to fight Pacquaio or Sergio because they are the best fights to be made.

You apparently dont want to see Mayweather fight? Did the blood scare you? Don't want him to ruin his looks?
