I had the fight 115-113. This was a mirror of the 1st fight, except I believe Hopkins landed the much cleaner and telling blows.

It's really sickening to hear Lampley talk about Taylor as opposed to Hopkins. I watched the fight for the first 5 rounds with the sound on, but muted it after I heard Lampley screaming after every jab that landed by Taylor (which wasn't much by the way).

I'm going to pay my respect to Hopkins. I think it's time to get out of the game.

    Yikes, we agree.

I echo your thought about B-Hop landing the more cleaner and telling shots, but this time it wasn't just in the last 4 rounds, it was pretty evenly distributed.

Also, it was hilarious to see Lampley raving about how Taylor was getting his jab going unlike the 1st fight, only to have a stat pop up right after he said it that showed he was landing 5 jabs per round.

HBO seems to get worse and worse each year.

When they're not going on and on and on about an observation they noticed a minute earler that's no longer happening, Lampley is yelling about something that's not accurate just as the opposit is happening.

    It's gawd awful.

LOL. you feel how I felt when they commentated on Pac vs Morales on March 19.

It was all Morales. Pac would throwvicious punches and everyting they complimamnted was Morales did, Morales is tis, Morales is betta at tis, Oh WoW vicious punch from Morales, etc!

BHop is probably gonna use the compubox stats to make his case that he won next time he gets interviewed.

I've vowed to never watch a fight on HBO with the sound on. Showtime has fairly unbiased announcers but Lampley is just pathetic. It's a waste to see him go on about Taylor landed minimal jabs.

I don't see many high points from this fight. From a fans perspective, it was an awful fight even if you are a boxing purist like myself. Hopkins should of layed his ass out on the line as this was his last hurrah (or should be).

I'm crying robbery right now but I'm terribly dissapointed in what Taylor showed tonight. He seized the moment in the 11th and took the fight to Hopkins, but other then that He fought timid, and overcautious.

I'm surprised at the mixed reviews. I thought it was clearer who the winner was this time around(Hopkins won IMB). Jermain looked like he had no plan it was just jab but had no purpose. Man B-Hop impressed me tonight, the fact that he is 40yrs. old looked more fluid and quicker than JT. I see some people postin' stuff like Hopkins should retire, the guy looks like he can go another 3yrs.

I wasn't a big fan of the commentary either. There was a lot of hurrah when Taylor was throwing, even if he wasn't really landing anything solid. Things were pretty quiet for Hopkins, I think because not many people really like him. Either that or HBO is really trying to pimp their new star.

Unlike you, the majority of others, and maybe Bozo, I like this fight, from a boxing standpoint.

Taylor is not well-schooled like He is made out to be. He is fairly amateurish and wastes many punches.

This fight wasn't a tad bit interesting. It was just awful. I always enjoy a good boxing lesson but these guys fought timid and scared.

That was really the only way that Hopkins could have competed like he did at 40.

It was to his advantage to lull Taylor into that pace, to make him aprehesive, waste nervous energy, and try to counter him.

You saw in 11 that if Hopkins had tried to go toe to toe his lack of reflex would have made it to his disadvantage.

As ugly and boring as it was (I wasn't entertained either) it was the only way Hopkins could have fought as effectivly as he did while taking Taylor out of his game.

I agree it's time for him to hang them up. He's got nothing left to prove, and those two losses were very competitve for a 40 year old. He has an accomplished career and nothing to be ashamed of.

Taylor is an HBO piggy bank as far as I'm concerned. I had a funny feeling about this fight, and I thought Taylor would most likely win due to a shoddy decision but I wen't with my heart and picked Hopkins to win his last hurrah.

Hopkins had a great career and it's time to hang them up. He has no options at this point imo. He is going to get beaten again most likely by a younger, hungrier fighter unless He matches himself up against an older, slower opponent like himself.
