Give him the rematch, but let him have a couple of tune-ups (easy last paydays) against southpaws to get him ready for Manny, just in case Pacman has his way again and ends Cotto's career.

Yeah...pac destroyed cotto..and he would most likely win again no matter what weight..it may be somewhat more competitive this time around if at 154 considering pac may be a little slower but in the end pacs style is just all wrong for cotto.

*****s and pac haters like to cling to the idea that the catchweight was the sole reason he lost....pac destroyed cotto so bad that I don't think cotto coming in at 147 would have made much difference at all.

I really would hate to see Pac vs Cotto II.

First of all, Manny didn't even want to hit and beat the **** outta gotta anymore, so why would anyone want to see Cotto demolished again.

Second, Margarito's face holds up a lot better than Cotto and has the better chin. I can only imagine the permanent damage Manny will do to Cotto if they ever fight again. The first fight Manny spent the first couple of rounds trying to test if Cotto had the power to hurt him and if Cotto would be to big for him, but in the rematch, not only will he face a Pacquiao that wont respect his power from the opening bell, he will be facing a Cotto that will be shell shocked from the first fight.

I agree with PBP, He needs one more win over an elite fighter before he even considers retirement. A win against Pacquiao enhances his legacy tenfold and secures a spot below Mayweather and right under Marquez.
For the right money, I hope it happens. 150 Catchweight or it's a double standard because Manny fought Margarito there and won a useless title.

I feel Cotto should just go after Kirkland, Alvarez and become number #1 at JMW.

Also, FWIW, I don't see how you have Cotto under Marquez. IMO Cotto has had the better career and has the more impressive resume.

Idiot.. Pac didnt want to fight at 154 anymore after the Marg fight.. LMAO.. You are forcing the issue.. When Pac fought Cotto, Cotto was a legitimate WW... So what's your issue of him fighting at 145.. Its not like he was drained in that fight... Or maybe that's just a convenient excuse for you..
