I don't understand the hate on Canelo, he just fights, he doesn't get a say on who he wants to fight. No matter what Canelo says he wants to do, its up to GBP, and the WBC.

The fights that need to happen don't, and that goes for the Sport as a WHOLE, only exception is the tournaments. NO one fights, why will it start now, better yet how do you guys expect it to start so that the best fight the best, what do you want Canelo to do? We keep pointing our fingers at the fighters, but they're not the guys controlling it. All this crying for nothing, just wasting time and energy.

And Fighters are gonna get paid, they can't sit on the sidelines, especially now in this rough economy.

ElMeroChingon, I think he gets the extra scrutiny because he's not your average bum fighter trying to make it to the top. He's a champion; he has a huge fan base who I think would prefer that he step up and fight solid challengers. i.e. exciting fights. I realize he's only 21 but his management needs to leverage his popularity against GBP and WBC.

I think boxers need an international union who invite promoters to bid on each fight. No long term contracts. Per fight only.

after seeing Mayweather get beat up last night by Cotto, Its pretty silly to say and ****n ****** to say that hes not ready for fraud jr, Canelo in case nobody has noticed is a viscous left hooker and jabber just like cotto is and with more youthactvity and precision at this stage , Id give Canelo an extremley high probability of not only beating him but stopping mayweather, and double for pac , Mayweather got exposed lastnight, Pakya may have been beaten by JMM the last time, But Mayweather got beat up not only by a very past prime Cotto But by a guy Pacman just destroyed, this makes 3 common opponents where pacman dominated and mayweather didnt. Cotto did extremley well and landed the better harder more damaging punches.Pac vs mayweather will never happen because Jr knows very well that little filipino will Knock him The **** out!

Yes i understand that, but Canelo is not in control here, how can you ask something from him if he has no control over who he fights?

Better yet, place his situation in perspective.

How is losing 3 rounds to Cotto considered "beat up"? Look at Cotto's face at the end of the fight too he looked worse. If Canela was ready then why wasn't he fighting a top 54'er instead of fighting Shame Oldsey? We'll see how Pakya does against Bradley.
