Why should he? after that preformance against Floyd his bran is at an all time high. He is the 3rd biggest draw in the sport and still is one of the best fighters in the world.

Martinez wants to move down... Sounds like a good fight for Cotto. If he wins that fight (which I dont think he would...) then it could set up a potential Floyd-Cotto rematch.. People would pay to see it. It was nice. And as some of us said, the jab was the key to his competitiveness tonight, and he can build from that. Floyd not running through him gives both of them more options. Floyd didn't look wtf unbeatable, and Cotto performed well against yet another slick fighter with his underrated jab. Many said Cotto is a bigger match up problem for Floyd than Pac..so who knows.. People might think Cotto stands a chance in a rematch. Nice money to be made tbh for the both of them.

He'll probably fight Canelo and retire. I don't see Cotto wasting his time with low reward fights anymore, which is pretty much everyone in his division. He's not fighting to prove anything anymore.

Think about it though... a fight with Martinez, or anybody "credible" won't be low reward for him. If he beats Martinez, you know Floyd would jump at the opportunity for a rematch. 2 birds one stone. better money with cotto, AND he doesn't have to fight Sergio.

Canelo makes sense too though..but I think Cotto will want a rematch. He seemed upset and really feels he won. Cotto could get a rematch with a win over either Canelo or Serg.

If Ortiz beats Berto again I would love to see Ortiz-Cotto.

I've always said Cotto's style is toughter for Floyd than a potential Manny fight. Last night reaffirmed those beliefs. A fight at 154 against Sergio is a surefire gamble, but one I think plants him at the forefront of the p4p once more if he's to win. I think Martinez is too careless and Cotto will expose his flaws.
Canelo, Martinez or Pacquiao, in order of relevance.

It would be a fun fight, but it does nothing for Cotto. Ortiz got outclassed then punked against Floyd and Cotto showed he LEVELS above the fighter Ortiz is. I voted Cotto/Pac at 150+ It would allow Cotto to get revenge on another loss giving him something to train for, huge payday and after the Mayweather performance it'll do at least as well as the first one in PPV buys. Pac/May is not going to happen, IT IS Arum look how fast Cotto got the Floyd fight, his first one out of "Free agency" and his biggest payday. I would also favor Cotto, his chin would be better, his stamina... better, power... better, mentality... better, technique... better, corner... better. Give me Cotto if its at 150+

Canelo but lets be real. He's probably booked for Floyd already.

Paul Williams possible? I think that could be fun.
