I've had a hard time agreeing with Bernstein when it comes to accessing Mayweather's skills and I strongly disagree with him here as well. Floyd can definitely fight on the ropes here. Cotto's right hand is still not good enough to bother Floyd, he still doesn't use it consistently enough. At the very least, though the punches were ineffective, Hatton and Ortiz would whack Floyd behind the head with a short right hand that would come around Floyd's left shoulder....Miguel doesn't even do that. Floyd's always been a master at neutralizing a fighter's left hook, I don't see Cotto doing anything when he backs Floyd into the ropes, I see Floyd being more comfortable than ever.

If Money May is against the ropes all you can is go to the body like Castillo did, but will leave you open for Counters all nite. Like i said before, if this was the Olympics, Cotto would have a chance. In a 12 Round fight, Cotto will be destroyed by Mayweather at any weight

The most important thing Bernstein said there was that Floyd may have to lead since both fighters are natural counterpunchers. Floyd leads very well but he'll be playing into Cotto's hands by doing so.

I'm looking forward to seeing Floyd on the ropes and how he will handle Cotto. IMO Floyd is going to look good in this fight...

Yeah, I can definitely see Cotto timing him well with the jab if he decide to lead. Other than that, I don't see how Cotto is going to counter him consistently. Floyd just need to be cautious when he throw the lead right because he usually leave his chin open when he throw it.

I notice that last night watching the Mosley-Mayweather fight. He throws his right and most of the time he doesnt get his hand back up, he leaves his chin open.

Cotto should try atleast once, what Donaire did to montiel, let floyd touch him with the right and shoot a hard left hook at the same time!!

I dont think, uless theres a nasty cut or something, Floyd is not offensive enough, nor have the power to stop Cotto.

I see it as a 8-4 UD victory for Floyd
