Why Mayweather is so eager to fight again in 2012

this is just my opinion, but if he fights again in 2012, then he might be able to use that as a grounds for appeal of to his jail sentence....

....Floyd staying out of jail is essentially good because it forces Mayweather to fight more often, which is good for us boxing fans. Love them or hate them we all tune in for money team or pacman fights.

He said it himself that a fight needs 6 months to promote.

Because he's gonna duck Martinez & spank on Canelo & his fans are gonna love him for it.

When you got about 2 1/2 years left in the game and have the opportunity to make at least 30 million a fight I'll fight as often as I could too.

              this

if you're financially motivated and you're seeing the window close you're going to fight as often as you can.

even if he's a successful promoter or businessman after fighting, he's going to have trouble pulling in a garantee of 30 + million and a ppv upside for fighting a no hoper like a past prime miguel cotto

I dont know if he can appeal the jail sentence.... he took a plea bargain to get rid of all of the felony charges. Its only 90 days and he will probably get out earlier with good behavior. I think he wants to get it done with.

I agree with the others, he wants to make some more money before he retires. Once he stops boxing or once he gets old and starts loosing, he is never going to be able to make 40 million a fight. After boxing he can do promoting or whatever it is he is gonna do but it aint going to be like it is now.

Floyd is 35 and plans on retiring at 37. He knows this is his final run in the sport. He plans on making the most of it so he will solidify his legacy as a top 10-5 ATG by getting it on with all the best then calling it quits.

Canelo won't qualify as "the best". Neither would Khan. It's Martinez or nothing. Beating fighters he's supposed to beat won't get him top 10/5 atg. No way no how. You're crazy if you can't name 10 fighters all time that could beat Floyd between 160-130, simply crazy.
