Plus in one of the footages of the stare down they looked exactly the same height, cotto with a slightly bigger build. Also, mayweather didnt really look to have any sort of a reach advantage (although even if he did, its nothing that cotto hasnt dealt with before. Mosley has an even longer reach advantage IIRC)

edit: but maybe floyd didnt have shoes on, idunno. The height/reach advantage will be insignificant imo.

This is a win win for Floyd. If he wins, he still goes to jail which will offset his fighting schedule away from a Pacquiao fight. If he loses, he will never have to fight Pacquiao for a long time because Cotto will have dibs.

Here's an example of how big of difference it makes when you're barefoot compare to when you have shoes on. I used to think Cotto was as tall or taller than Floyd too, but you can clearly see Floyd is the taller boxer between the two.
