Former world champion Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez has caught a break from the Boxing Commission of Puerto Rico (CBPPR). On April 3rd, the commission punished Lopez for comments he made in March against referee Roberto Ramirez Sr. During a live televised interview, Lopez called Ramirez "a gambler" after getting stopped in ten rounds by Mexico's Orlando Salido on March 10th in San Juan.

They gave him 100 hours of community service for that? That's fucking ridiculous! They were just words that he said. Sure, he came off like a **** for saying what he did but there was no need for any action to be taken against him IMO.

Exactly! Hell, Margarito got caught with loaded gloves and his punishment was less severe than Juanma's when all he did was say some unfavorable **** after an emotional loss. Total bullshit!
