Mayweather is definitely not my idol. Not even one of my top 3 fighters. I respect the man's boxing skill. He's one the the best technical fighters to ever lace em up. Do I respect the man outside of the ring? Yes & no. I respect his genius to sell himself as the bad guy and in turn become the top PPV generator beside Manny. I respect that he is his own boss and how he keeps a huge chunk of the fight profits, unlike most fighters. What I don't respect about the guy is the dumb **** that comes out of his mouth. And this creates a greater complexity because Pac, a guy from another country comes along and is more admired in HIS country. Floyd's ego wants respect, his heart wants adoration, and the ego wins the war. That leaves the void that Mayweather has and drives him even more toward his ego. He creates a dilemna for himself, isolation at its finest.

I'll never understand why someone who calls themselves a "Boxing fan" would be so emotionally invested in an athlete's personal life, constantly assuming, generalizing, lying and trying to discredit. lol. no matter who it is.

I've seen posters on here who post about non-boxing related s**t in over 80% of their posts, as if pushing this agenda would help them in real life in any tangible way lol.
