He's just old and way past it. I give him a chance though against Canelo, because Ginger boy isn't the fastest guy or a great boxer and really hasn't proved anything other than he can beat the Matt Hatton's and Ryan Rhodes when he has the advantages. And he did get hurt by Cotto's brother with a punch. I kind of hope the hype train ends, that will mean no Canelo-Mayweather, taking away another option for Floyd before Pac and Martinez.Comment

Of course I'm no Boxing Clever, but I think I'm correct when I say that that old saying in the US he's talking about is really the old WW1 song "Old soldiers never die, they only fade away. I was taught to sing it as a baby. And it was very old even then. Sometimes the soldiers from the local barracks would sing it as they marched along. It was a very popular soldier's song. Some said that it was from the Zulu wars in the 1870's in South Africa. There's a saying in the States that old fighters don't die, they fade away before our eyes. Shane Mosley's latest vanishing mission takes place this Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Even in a sport as awash with contrived and half-baked titles as boxing, Mosley, who make no mistake was a wonderful, three-weight world champion, has had way more than his fair share of second chances.

One thing I know is, that Boxing Clever should properly credit his sources. As for the rest of his article...well.... we already know all that, many times repeated in various articles on BoxingScene, not to mention many other publicatins.Comment
