I have the fight in my collection but I can't find it now. The fight was starting and Merchant told an anecdote about an old timer like Carmen Basilio, or someone along those lines, and he said that the old timer had hit his opponent with his best shot to no avail and that at the end of the round he told his trainer to get him out of there before he got killed. It was something like: "Get me out of here before he kills me". Does it ring a bell?
Does anyone remember the fight in which Larry Merchant said this?

You were very close because the old timer was Aragon and the fight was Margarito vs. Cintrón II, the undercard for Cotto vs. Gómez. Thanks for reminding me of this card. Now I know which dvd to look for in my collection.Comment
