Id suggest you rewatch it. Listen to.how merchant said what he did and where the convo was going. I don't defend what floyd did but totally understand why he was upset. Merchant was being negative. Had been the whole.fight which I'm sure floyd heard

Apparently in one fight Floyd heard what was said. It was on video in the post fight interview, but IMO I think someone from his team told Floyd what was said.

Unless the atmosphere is so dead, no one can hear.

I think Floyd just assumed that after the statement of being in control and aggressive that Larry was going to ask why he had to "sucker punch" or get Ortiz out like that. He very well could of turned the interview that way but we'll never know because Floyd is very defensive in interviews.
