The "King" was a lot more than a little shady. Didn't he murder two people? and hasn't every top and near top fighter he had (Except trinidad, whom he tokk for a bit as well earlier) sued him charging that he made away with their money? We all know about the famousTyson deal. But there were many others too. Look it up.
King would have squeezed MannyP down to the last little drop of blood he had. he wouldn't be fighting now, he'd be ruined, and broke, with no political ambitions, nor sponsorships. You must dislike Pacquiao a lot.Comment

What's wrong with that?? He gets 27% from MannyP. Arum does all the work, the paying, the hiring, arranging the PPV and TV' and International streams; everything except fighting in the ring. He deserves it. Without his hard work and expertise there would be no big purses for the fighters. Most, if not all opponents get the biggest purses of their careers from Arum. he always pays well.Comment

You must hate Pac a lot to wish he was broke and fighting to pay debts to Don King, because that's where he'd be at if King got a hold of him once he got big and with his trusting nature. How many of his fighters has Don King screwed over or been in a court room fighting him? Arum might taking some money from him, and may have hindered the Mayweather fight, but he's made Pac more money and as big of a star he could've been in the last few years than he could have ever of dreamed. Mayweather fight is not happening mostly because of Mayweather, if you didn't see his words, Pacquiao himself said the 40M flat fee offer was a joke and it was he who declined it.Comment

Bro, you're missing the point. I agree with you that King is a slimy reptilian motherthucka. But you must give him his dues for making the biggest fights happen (e.g. Ali-Frazier Trilogy) to be honest if he was in charge promoting the fight we can deduce that the Mayweather-Pacquiao superfight would of happened at the end of 2010 or earlier. May coming off a good win over a mosley and pac's destruction of Margarito would've been a perfect time.

And Arum made as many big fights happen, Hagler-Hearns, Hagler-Leonard, Hearns-Leonard II, Hagler-Duran, Duran vs Moore, Ali vs Frazier II, Ali vs Spinks fights, Arguello-Pryor, Arguello-Mancini, Foreman vs Moorer, Foreman vs Holyfield, Castillo vs Corrales, Morales vs Barrera, Carbajal vs Gonzalez, most of DLH's super fights, Floyd-Corrales/Castillo, Corrales-Castillo, and most of the biggest fights of recent times..because of one stuff up with Gamboa-Lopez and people act like he had a habit of killing big fights.Bro, you're missing the point. And we forget they negotiated back in 2009/10, and fight only didn't come about because Floyd brought up OSDT demands and Manny himself wouldn't agree. Not trying to defend Arum, just telling it like it is. If the fighters wanted it, Pac-Mayweather would've happened by now. Wouldn't be much different with King except i could see him holding a gun to Manny's head forcing him to fight and maybe Manny needing to fight for whatever money because he was broke. King in recent times couldn't force the Klits to fight his fighters like Ruiz and Valuev, so I doubt he could've forced the fight if Mayweather didn't want it.Comment
