When Pacquiao moved up to welter and beat Oscar he was ranked no.5 at welter.
Pacquiao always intended to return to fight Hatton but on his return to welter he fought the welter fighters ranked above him, numbers 1-4, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito, and Mosley, in a space of 18 months.
Name me another fighter this millennium that has done that?Comment

"look at his head! look at his head!" Floyd has to be one of the thickest people to ever have boxed. Every time he comes out with this crap and embarrases himself you just have to shake your head. Worse still are the dribbling bumsniffs in this forum that actually..genuinely believe that the thick **** is on to something.

Seriously? And those were the best guys Pac fought? 3 of them guys Floyd had fought more than a year before Pac fought them. Cotto was not the top fighter in the division but Mosley was and Roach/Pac ducked that fight in plain day. Mosley was lunch meat bout time Pac got around to him. Clottey lost to Cotto who Pac beat prior at a catch weight. The best win Pac had at 147 was Cotto at 145 & the best fighter Pac had since Moving up was Juan Manuel Marquez (he arguably lost) and Marquez had to move up to fight him. Pacquiao didn't even fight the #1 fighter in WW since he has been fighting there. Just to make sure you don't think I'm hating on Pac lets just see what Arum says about Magarito and Mosley........When Pacquiao moved up to welter and beat Oscar he was ranked no.5 at welter.

Lets see what Dan Rafael thought of Mosley when both Floyd and Pac fought him. This is a legal waiver. By copying and using the material from this article, you agree to give full credit to BoxingScene.com or provide a link to the original article.
"Manny is not dull. He is the aggressor. He is an entertaining fighter and I believe that most people that bought the fight tonight bought it not with the expectation that Shane Mosley was going to win," said Arum of Pacquiao, who was coming off of November's unanimous decision over Antonio Margarito.
"They bought the Antonio Margarito fight not because they thought that he was going to win, but because they wanted to be entertained by Manny Pacquiao," said Arum. "Manny is a great fighter. That's why people are buying his fights now. He has achieved greatness."

Mayweather, however, has a chance to at least shush the critics now that he is finally going to face an elite welterweight in champion Shane Mosley
http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/box...dan&id=5146915Arum doesn't care. He only wants to do what is best for himself, certainly not for boxing. He is going to put Mosley in the ring with Pacquiao soley because of name. It's a move that will squeeze out the last gasps of Mosley's once-outstanding career so Arum can generate another big payday while doing a disservice to real boxing fans who actually care about the matchups and not just a famous but faded name.
