Thanks bud, I'll be staying DT so ideally somewhere not too far...
Spitfire in Belltown is probably the closest location for you then if you're in DT

I've never been to the Spitfire before and not sure how crowded or noisy it will be. They mentioned on the website that the bar was going to be closed to the public at 4pm for the fight. If anyone has been to Spitfire for a fight before, I'd love to hear some input.

I don't think I've seen a fight in a bar since college, so not sure really what to expect of the whole thing enjoyment-wise. Well, except for that last Gwar concert. Now that was entertainment, but I digress.

I'm hoping for the best, but it might be too crowded and noise to really enjoy it. Ugg, I think I'm getting old...

You should hit one of the many casinos in the area. I was stationed there for 8 years and saw many fights there.

how far are you willing to travel?

If you're down to drive, I know a crackin place! It's about 30-45 min from seattle.

Quil Ceda Creek Casino is DOPE for fights (it's near Tulalip Casino, in fact it is the old Tulalip casino before they built the bigger casino).

They have fine Bikini Ring Card girls that come out between every round and hold a big round card, mingle in the crowd, etc., they have raffles, prizes, a huge projector big screen with about a dozen smaller flat screens throughout the bard. Cheap beer. I always have a good time.

I used to go there all the time before I had HBO/Showtime and couldn't afford PPV's lol.

For future reference The Spitfire (spitfireseattle dot com) was a good place to see the fight. Bullet pointed the info for easy reference:
                  • Seating: I got there at 5pm (for a 6pm start) and there were many tables and 3/4 of the seats at the bar still available. It really didn't start to get crowded until between 6-6:30. By the time Mosley vs Alvarez was on folks were packed in pretty tight. So you don't have to get there super early to get a good seat, which is what I was worried about.
                  • TVs: 10-12 good size TVs, including a 10 ft Projector (though that was a bit hard to see until it started to get darker outside). While I sat at the middle of the bar, in looking around the worst seats in the house we really not bad at all.
                  • Sound\Noise: They had a speaker system set up. So while it was pretty noisy, you could hear most of the comments in between rounds. It was a bit hard during the fight if there was a good shot or flurry of punches because the crowd was really into the fight (to be expected, of course).
                  • Bar\Menu: Full bar (ie alcohol). Beer selection is not that great if you a bit of a beer snob (like me), but they at least had Manny's and Full Sail on Tap.
                  • Fights: They show the HBO PPV fights and the big UFC fights according to the bartender. They will be showing the Pacquiao vs Bradley fight next month.
                  • Crowd: A pretty good crowd. Surprisingly a lot of woman. I kinda thought it might be a giant testosterone fest. Everyone I talked to was pretty cool, even if you both were rooting for different boxers.
                  • Other thoughts: I started out with going with 4 people and everyone eventually could make it for various reasons. One friend was still in until Friday afternoon, when his brother surprised him with a flight to LV and tickets to the fight for his Birthday. Best reason someones has ever had for bailing on plans. Ended up going by myself and had a great time.

Sorry that ended up being really wordy, but hope that it is useful to someone.
