Good post, very solid points. Pirog has a good skillset but nothing special at world level, Martinez has nothing to worry about this guy. Golovkin would have a good chance to stop Pirog if they ever meet as you mentioned since Golovkin has great power and can box as well.
My Take on Pirog

There isn't anything "special" about him...but he's a good technical fighterComment

Can't say I disagree but I just think his "technicality" won't hold up as he steps up in competition IMO. Sure, he can always fight the Ishida's and make a living like that but even tho it's not a deep division Idk if I would put him #4. I think Sturm beats him also if he comes out with that jab he used against Zbik.Comment

A lot of the time it looks as if Pirog is sparring with the opponent in there. He seems content just to box most of the time and hit the opponent with single shots from well picked angles. He's got a solid defence and good boxing ability, counters well with the right hand. His footwork is a lot better than what people credit him for.
I just feel Pirog has another level he can go up to, he shows flashes of it in fights but then goes back to his lethargic style.Comment

He has good movement and a sneaking 45 type jab. He was landing the right on Ishida pretty easily and Ishida's best punch was the left hook.
Pirog squares up a lot and his left hooks are really wide. I also noticed that while decent on the inside, he prefers a little distance to land that straight right.
I think a guy like Martinez would land the straight left with good success. Pirog's lack of speed and wider punches would leave him a sitting duck, especially nearing the later rounds. He also doesn't like seeing a jab in his face, I think Williams would beat Pirog.Comment

I give him some of is D is good. He's good at getting out once he throws/land a shot but then again he was also fighting an Ishida who throws slow punches as well and has no power.Comment
