Dawson was still having a hell of a time trying to land on hop. Id favor him over kessler and froch still. That says a lot.

One guy he should avoid is Bute. Thats the man who would end his career for real.

theres no real reason for anyone to tell hopkins he should retire, the man didn't get knocked down, knocked out, outclassed, or fatigued, and the light heavyweight division is weak right now, i've never seen cloud fight, but my guess is he beats him

i would love to see him against bute, bute looks like a real wild kinda boxer who hopkins can pick apart

Agree with those that say B-Hop should pick up a belt

At Cruserweight - to be the oldest fighter to win a World Title at 2 weights and become a 3 weight World Champ really is something that befits a Legend like himself and at his age further enhances his already secured great legacy.

That's true and he didn't look any worse than anyone else who ever lost to Dawson who were 20 years younger than Hopkins. He came back after his lose to Calzaghe to school Pavlik and everybody forgot about his previous lose. He didn't look bad or embarrass himself against Dawson...just didn't do enough to win. Still at 47 it was remarkably impressive and he still has it in him to fight. God knows he doesn't need the money.

It's more out of hate that people would want him to retire. They say he's excessively dirty, this that and the other, well then don't watch. Stylistically Dawson, especially at this stage, is all wrong for him. It looked dirtier than usual because Hopkins couldn't get inside on Dawson, so Hopkins tried to tie him up when ever he got the chance to so that he can work the inside. Of course it was illegal but that's Hopkins trying to turn the fight in his favor. Trying to box against the bigger; rangier, more athletic boxer would have got him killed. I'm hoping Hopkins gets in there against Cloud or Cleverly, you'll see a much cleaner fight. You might even see another Pavlik-like performance from Hopkins.

he will continue holding his opponent down with his elbow...

sure, he still can pick up a belt with trinidad or eubank...or by fighting nobodies...
