The cheerleaders like to invade from the true question, by saying that Manny destroyed Cotto already and that there need no rematch. Ofcourse thats not the point and they know it.

Their having a hard time processing the question is to why did Manny approach Cotto as his first option only to then decline it because of a CW? If weight is not an issue then why does Manny need another CW? That's the question "why does Manny need another CW with Cotto?" not "why does Manny need to fight Cotto?"

to be fair Pacs ******ity or intelligence got us the Bradley Fight which will be a good fight, Pac just made his biggest payday against JMM but thats not an option for him because he cant LEGITIMATLEy beat JMM ,its more damaging to his career than profitable to fight JMM period,so he chose Cotto which wouldve been the most absurd unwarranted,unwanted rematch fight ever!but when that didnt pan out Manroid was forced to fight someone actually good, Manny in his mind thought he was going to steamroll JMM thats why he took that fight, proof of his mindset is picking cotto a 2nd time, hes stuck with Bradley because he ran out of cherry picks with a name......

Might be believable in Pacland , but in the real world people would say why did he wait until Cotto said Yes but No CW to realize that this was just a money fight and he didnt really want it anyway , people are not that gullible .

If it was Paclands version then they would have withdrawn the offer before waiting on Cotto answer .

Cotto has almost zero chance of winning this fight. the entire card is garbage, it's just mismatches.

he beat a one legged Yuri Foreman, he beat Mayorga (who quit after getting hit in the hand) and he beat Margarito who wasn't even cleared to fight until Arum greased the right hands to allow it.

this fight made sense 5 years ago at 140 when Cotto was a beast but he isn't that anymore. I don't blame Ricans for still seeing the old Cotto but he aint that anymore.

it's an easy pay day for Mayweather.

Cotto vs Canelo would have made so much more since. Cotto is still good but he's not even an Mayweather's class at this point. who knows if Canelo is the real deal or just a hype job.

it's a great pick em fight plus it's Mexico vs PR, but no GBP went with Mosley. how many times does have to look terrible before the public realize he's shot.

as for Mayweather I only want to see him fight Pacquiao at 147 or Martinez at 154. if he's only going to fight once a year and for 70$ a PPV it better be against the best.

I'd like promoters to cater to the fans but as long as people blindly eat the sht they shovel they'll never change and the actual fans of the sport (not certain fighters) will just have to put up with it.
