BoxingScene Staff Predictions - Jermain Taylor vs. Bernard Hopkins

The controversy over who won and who lost, is going to come down to a 12-round duel at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

Former undisputed middleweight champion Bernard Hopkins and newly crowned champion Jermain Taylor battle for respect, as the main event feature on a pay-per-view dubbed with the moniker of "No Respect".
Will Hopkins get old? Will Taylor be better? Everything will be answered. The winner will be the fighter that made the better adjustments from the first meeting. Taylor has promised a more dominating performance, and Hopkins has promised a knockout win.

The staff of BoxingScene.com has gotten together to voice their opinions, strategies and predictions for the last major boxing event of the year.

Ron Borges: When a fighter is ready to turn 41 in barely a month, time is not on his side. Yet I still like Bernard Hopkins to avenge his controversial split decision loss to Jermain Taylor Saturday night for two reasons. [details]

        Don't forget Tim Smith, too.

Y'all folks need to check out the main page more often, see some of the stuff Rick's been working hard on.

Boxing Scene should have my prediction from first fight and my soon to be released prediction on the main page with the others for this one. None of the staff predicted it like I did for the first fight.

I predicted it 115-113 JT just as it happened to be on 2 of the judges scorecards (should have been all 3 of them .Of course some will think I will be wrong, however, you will see tomorrow as you did the after the first fight.

The funny thing in that article was the writers predicting a Hopkins win usually gave a sufficient explanation of why they thought he was going to win. Taylor predictions were basically, "Taylor is younger, stronger and faster, so he'll win."

Meh...I like Borges on this one.

Hopkins will dominate, he is too smart to make the same mistake twice. Taylor's career is going to fall faster than the XFL tonight.
