  • Comments Thread For: Grachev Hopes To Raise Profile With Ismayl Sillakh KO

Light heavyweight contender Denis Grachev (12-0-1, 8KOs) hopes to raise his international profile after last week's big upset knockout of previously undefeated rising star Ismayl Sillakh (17-1, 14KOs). Grachev was losing on the offical cards, but turned things around with his power punches to stop Sillakh in the eight round.

Dawson should fight him as a tune up before the winner or Pascal/Cloud or Ward if that happens.

Anyone who calls a man who is in the top 5% of his profession a "Bum" has the IQ of a dead Rat.

I don't think Sillakh wants to rematch his weak chin with any hard puncher, including the last guy. Sillakh stands straight up and squares himself up too much. Michael Nunn and Paul Williams discovered this the hard way.

Without the coke and the distractions Nunn would have beaten Toney.

Don't kid yourself. Nunn was knocked down early in his career in a similar way. A fighter cannot leave their chin out and square their body up. They can get away with it for a while till they step up in competition and someone makes them pay.
