Ya i watched BoxNation version and ****m and Popkins were stratagizing on the PR spin post fight in between rounds. Commentators called them on it lmao

Best way to describe Hopkins style : He fights not to lose decisively.....for exactly this reason. So he can cry afterwards about "the establishment" and proclaim to be the people's champion giving all the people who are so desperate to be a part of witnessing "a legend" the ability to feel cool in the process of supporting him and talking about how "old school" he is. Same nonsense that had RING name him as the #1 ATG MW lulz

The second I heard Richardson talk about politics, I think everyone knew Hopkins would claim robbery. Then he went around the ring shouting at the press, and it was just a matter of how soon he would claim robbery.

How come in the last fight with marquez and pacquiao, it was all you gotta knock him out to take the belt, don't leave in the hands of the judges. But now with hopkins and dawson, "a higher punch output and more active" takes the belt from the champion. And I don't like Hopkins at all, I was absolutely disgusted by how dirty he fought, but there def seems to be a double standard here.

Marquez beat Pacquaio, fights are scored by rounds, win more you should win the fight. If the champion is so good he should be able to win the fight legitly. Im sick of that old "rule" where people think its ok for the champion to loose but still get the decision.

That was a hard fight to watch. Hopkins lst imo, but lets be real, if chad fights ward? I see that as a chess match and could be a stinker, but id still watch

I was just about to say this actually. I think a couple of us mentioned he was gonna call it a robbery. I hope he doesn't go on with this delusional claim or he might just lose the respect of some of his fans.

It was a hard fight to be intrested in. I was literally struggling to stay awake. But Dawson won every round but one or two.

I disagree with whomever said Bernard exposed Chad's lack of a left hand. If you review the fight again. You'll see there are points (surprised HBO didn't reply it) where Chad landed his straight right on Bernard clean.

Bernard's tactic this fight was to deliberately head butt Chad knowing that Chad has scar tissue on each eye and cuts easily(see the Pascal fight).He hoped that would frustrate him and get him to lose focus then he would do his typical, RIGHT hand w/HEAD then wrap up to smoother the counter tactic.

Too bad he didn't account for Chad being able to pivot out of the way and turn him when he rushed in.

Chad then added an uppercut (that he should have used more) when Bernard and his HEAD came in.

As a former Hopkins fan (not because of tonight I stopped but after the Calzaghe and Jones acting episode I was done) I'm clearly not surprised by this stubborn old man. Combined with the sycophants who won't tell him the truth that surrounds him. It's no wonder he actually thinks he's won.

When has Bernard ever seen a microphone he didn't like?? He refused to talk during the press conference, FaceOff, any promos and the post fight interview??

Come on. He knew he was overmatched here and these antics are just adding to it.
