Sillakh never looked comfortable in the ring with a less then basic boxer though Teddy mentioned they sparred together and maybe Sillakh knew dude has some pop and was cautious for that fact but still for all the hype this fight shouldn't of gone past 5 Grachev was waiting to be laid to rest with an uppercut and some hard combos but they didn't come.
Sillakh still has talent but flaws as well keeps his hands to low not great head movement and of course seems to have a glass chin Despaigne did mark his face up despite not really landing alot of shots if and when he loses again it'll be by KO similiar to Linares

A lot of people in this thread don't know jack shit about boxing. Sillakh didn't lose because of his chin he lost because of two things : his lack of defense and his lack of experience in bad situations (knowing when to hold). I've always said his biggest flaw is that he stands straight up AND his hands are low. You can drop your hands as long as you know how to move and bend your upper body (Floyd) or you can stand straight up as long as you keep both hands up (Wlad) but if you do both you're gonna get caught and hurt bad.
Sillakh's second flaw is that he gets way too close to his opponent sometimes, especially when he's trying to land power shots and that looping right hand in particular. A guy with his length shouldn't have gotten as close to Grachev as he got when he got caught. He should jab more often and use his straight right hand, don't loop it. I know people say this everytime a young fighter loses but he needs a new trainer and Stewart would be perfect for him.
And for all the Dawson nuthuggers : Dawson got hurt worse than that against Pascal but he survived because of his MMA leg-grab, that's the only difference.Last edited by Light_Speed; 04-28-2012, 01:00 PM.
