Comments Thread For: Tony Bellew Blows Away Danny McIntosh In Five Rounds

By Jake Donovan - Tony Bellew looked sensational in easily dismantling Danny McIntosh in the fifth round of their light heavyweight clash Friday evening at Echo Arena in Liverpool.

Bellew (17-1, 11KO) scored a knockdown at the end of the fourth round and put McIntosh down and out with a right hand early in the fifth round. The second knockdown prompted the referee to wave off the fight without issuing a count.

The official time was 0:38 of round five. [Click Here To Read More]

Didn't expect it to be soooooo one sided, looked like a mismatch tbf. Still dont rate Bellew that high but it was a good performance by him.

Excellent performance from Bellew - although McIntosh was made for him, walking straight at him with no defence.

Bellew has certainly come on significantly since the first McKenzie fight though.

Bellew's never going to be the best in the division - there' many guys miles above him and always will be - Hopkins, Dawson, Pascal, Syllkah and probably a few others but after that you'd give him a shot against anybody.

I'm still not sold on his chin - down a few times and even Cleverly who is a big puncher rocked him a couple of times.

True test will be when he steps in with somebody that can box and punch - which he has been nowhere near yet.

Cleverly can box but can't punch - any other couple of punchers he's been in with can't box for ............

Cleverly needs to rematch this dude before talking about Hopkins, they have unfinished business.

            Definitely Bellew's best performance.

            Great shot for the KO.

I used to dislike the guy but I've come to like him. He's still not very good though.

Hasn't yet but... well Hearn did a ****ty job of keeping it a secret if it was meant to be. But there's actually a story in queue about it from our very own Terence Dooley. If/when he signs Bellew, Hearn has big plans ahead.
