Comments Thread For: Shaw Sees Fear in Bernard Hopkins, Expects Him To Quit

Gary Shaw, the promoter for light heavyweight contender Chad Dawson (30-1, 17KOs), believes WBC light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins (52-5-2, 32KOs) has a realistic fear of his boxer. Shaw first noticed some changes in Hopkins behavior last October, as both boxers weighed in for their first meeting.

I caught some "bad vibes" from BHOP. I don't think he is going to look good in this fight.......at all.

Unless Hopkins starts amazing well and Dawson crumbles (which is never going to happen) then I expect the full repertoire of dirty tricks, feigning injury and low blows from BHop. He totally quit last time (trying to get Dawson DQ'd) and I think he'll do it again.

          Prediction: It won't be pretty.

this looks like a replay of Bhop vs RJJ 2..holding , whining, rabbit punches...
the fact that he didn't show up for the Face Off with Kellerman (which he did with pascal) tells me that he doesn't give a crap about the fight, he's there for a last payday and that's it

while I think Dawson will win this fight, to think that BHop has done time in one of the most hard core prisons anywhere, been a professional fighter for 20+ years, and has fought a ton of tough guys is suddenly scared of Dawson is ******

With all the doubt and general thought that Chad will win, this could be Bernard's greatest accomplishment if he wins.

Does The Executioner have one last fight left in him?

I agree, if he wins convincingly, BHOP could retire as one of the greatest all time...top 15
