He wanted to make the Pacquaio fight, but the fight didn't get made. The next best fight was Cotto. Even Pacquaio himself was in negotiations with Cotto, despite the fact he already beat him up badly. He's only fighting Bradley because Cotto declined. So it's a useless discussion to criticize one, without criticizing the other.

I wonder if Floyd will fight for his 8th weight world title at a catchweight.

Yep that's why we wanted him to fight Pacquiao or Martinez.

Guess Floyd didn't want any of that.

I really don't understand why Manny didn't call out either Berto(when he held the WBC) or Ortiz. Ortiz claim that Manny was scared of him. I guess their game plan is to call out big known names(for obvious reasons) even if those fighters are already damaged goods.

wasn't there a report that Ortiz completely dominated Manny in sparring? or was that someone else?

Lol "shiat talker in chief" guy is petrified of Manny sad thing is he can probably beat Manny, but there always that risk of Pacman landing that striaght left which mayweather has been suceptible to, that keeps him from taking that risk he knows full and well if he geTs caught that guy isnt going to let him off the hook the way so many others have , and for that he deservesall the criticism ,MAYWEATHER IS GOING DOWN AS A COWARD HIS BELEIVERS AND HIS PEOPLE ARE DELUSIONAL TO THINK OTHERWISE HELL EVEN HIS FRATERNAL BROTHERS SAY HES A COWARD,shoot GO ONE MORE EVEN ***WEATHER HIMSELF ADMITTED HES SCARED OF LOSING TO PAC THAT'S WHY HE WONT FIGHT HIM, STRAIGHT FROM THE HORSES MOUTH MAYWEATHER IS OK WITH BEING A COWARD HE FULLY ACCEPTS THAT FOR HIMSELF AND LEGACEY AND REPUTATION.HIS 14 FANS SHOULD STOP TRYING TO CONVINCE US OTHERWISE AS HE HIMSELF ADMITS HES A COMPLETE COWARD!

Cotto is indeed a solid opponent. However, Mayweather is gonna beat him convincingly. All this talk about who is faster, stronger or the weight playing a factor doesnt understand boxing at all. Mayweather technically is better than cotto period. His timing, defense and ring adjustments are second to none period.Come on Mayweather beat Ortiz weighing 164 lbs on fight night.

Yeah that is true from what I remember at least. I don't get why he would fight Clottey instead of just calling out Berto at that point. Which is kinda crazy because according to Roach, after Mosley destroyed Margarito he said that would only let Manny fight Mosley at a catchweight(145lb I think) and that he doesn't want Manny anywhere near Mosley. That all changed after Floyd beat Mosley though. This is exactly why boxing is dying out. People love to ride off of others names now instead of just fighting the best of the best, including the younger fighters.
