Because the Hatton fight wasn't that tough. He systematically took Hatton apart.

Augustus got in front of Mayweather and made him trade. No other fighter has managed to do this. What Augustus has, which many fighters don't, is a lack of fear (arguably a disregard for his health). He'll happily trade blow for blow if he thinks it is entertaining. Every time Mayweather threw, Augustus threw. And Augustus does what other fighters always "claim" they'll do - hit the shoulders and arms and take the head or body only if it is available. Other fighters say/think they will do this, but just don't. They don't pound on Floyd's defenses. They aim for the tiny targets he offers so he can avoid the shot and counter. Augustus just put it on him, and made sure that when Floyd did counter, he was coming at him with something. However, to do that, you have to be able to take a punch or hundred. (So I'm not arguing it is a particularly great tactic.)

Kris i'm with ya. When they announced mayweather vs cotto i was choked, aswell as pac vs bradley. promo like arum are ruining our sport by making bs fights and avoiding working with one another.I'm makin a stand and not buyin either card or any other fights that mite take place unless it's pac vs may. It's time for people to take back our sport and MAKE them sit down togeather and get this fight made, or they just won't continue to make millions fighting people they shouldn't.Lets make the promo do their job and do a better job.
