Comments Thread For: Dawson: Hopkins Has No Chance, He's Going To Lose Bad!

Chad Dawson and Bernard Hopkins won’t occupy the same room again until a weigh-in Friday afternoon at Caesars in Atlantic City that’s open to the public.

There won’t be an official press conference this week, though customary for fights at this level, because, according to Dawson and his handlers, Hopkins doesn’t want one. Nevertheless, Dawson (30-1, 17 KOs, 2 NC) has offered a couple messages for the oldest champion in boxing history.

wow does this guy ever stop crying and complaining?

he has no idea how to carry himself or build a fight.

ignorance and spite do not build interest, charm and confidence does.

chad will come out firing for 4 rounds then the pace will change chad will

go back to his natural boring retreat and box style and bhop will control

        the fight and the pace..

bhop is 47, there should be no way he should win but dawson lacks

intelligence i can see bhop winning 8 rounds if his body holds up to it.

bhop has to get old at some point.

With all the pathetic hype Chad is trying to do for this fight, I'd love to see B-Hop come out and drop him half a dozen times a la Frazier/Foreman I.

              oh yes.
i'd still want that even if only for the fact that dawson is a whining little girl with zero charisma, who has potential that he isn't living up to- comes a point where that potential becomes irrelevant if he doesn't use it.

It is! I'm just hoping Bernard will be at 100%, whatever that amounts to these days. Too bad he's not even 40 for this one. Chad seems to underestimate him, though...

I would never underestimate a motivated Bhop. We saw it in the rematch with Pascal, the fight against Pavlik and others, when Bhop has a chip on his shoulder he is at his best.
