Cool, didn't know that. But it doesn't seem like the type of fight Showtime and HBO would buy. Maybe as an undercard, but I doubt there would be much money in that. Lara vs Vanes seems like a possible main event

too bad it will be Floyd vs Canelo late 2012 and I'm sure the WBC will put aside their mandatory for a piece of that action.

And the WBC has had three guys fight in "semi-eliminator" bouts that has seemed to go on and on and on for Canelo - James Kirkland, Vanes & Angulo vs Alcine was a "final eliminator" if I'm not mistaken. Damn WBC always makes things impossible to know what's really going on.

Who is Vanes going to make more money with than with Lara? Especially if Showtime/HBO buys the fight. I thought everybody was avoiding him. Just this week I recall him calling out freaken Joachim Alcine and telling Lou Dibella to make it happen on twitter. Is Joachim Alcine supposed to be Vane's secret cash cow?

I don't understand the hype. Not sure why anyone is a fan of this dude. He's worse than Chavez. At least Chavez fights borderline top 10 dudes. Canelo though....
