Mike Lee, Top Rank Prospect, Subway Commercial

I've never heard of this guy, but dude is on a commercial with pretty heavy rotation. There are 2 versions of the spot. Any info on him? Is he solid prospect?

Last time I saw Mike Lee fight I saw no real talents that he could hang his hat on, I think it was his 5th fight and he currently has 8 fights under his belt.

He seems like a stong guy though so maybe he could hang his hat on that.

Former Notre Dame standout.... don't know why he's being offered Subway commercials, but people really like him

I don't post as much, but I'm on the forum a lot and I still watch as much boxing, but for some reason, haven't heard about this guy. Good exposure for him though.

Mike Lee is a good dude, but he doesn't have any stand out quality. But if Top Rank ever cuts a deal with Network TV he is the type of guy they can build up to get mainstream white america back to watching boxing, just feed him some tailor made fights and build him up.

But as far as the best guy out of Notre Dame that would be Tommy Zbikowski, he is a football player but if you watch him fight he has talent, his conditioning is just not that great for boxing since he is a football player, but he has skills and potential, Mike Lee on the other hand is just tough but he is kinda slow and predictable.

I don't blame you.. he hasn't really done anything to earn a subway commercial over other boxers.
I think it's just his Notre Dame fame that got it

Think of him as an Irish-American JCC Jr. without the pedigree and 40 or so fights to build him up.

That is about the path they should take with him also.

He is also very big in his area. There are millions of Irish in the US too. In the Cotto-marg undercard he got the biggest applause after the main event and rios

He makes big bucks and his purse was like 100,000 in his 7th fight which i think he donated
