    Rigondeaux vs Moreno

Stylistically, this is not a fan friendly fight and the chances of it occurring anytime soon are also pretty slim. But interesting to us boxing fans to see the outcome nonetheless.

Personally I think Rigondeaux would be too fast for Moreno who really isn't very fast and he is sloppy at times with his wide looping hooks. At the same time, Moreno would give Rigo a lot of problems with this style and awkwardness. I say Rigo in fairly close, but clear decision.

    Thoughts?

Moreno, simply a better boxer. Rigo's predominantly a counter puncher, it's hard enough to hit Moreno as it is, so throwing single shots isn't gonna help. Gotta go with Moreno, and quite easily too.

I have Moreno winning a UD. Rigo is fast, but explosive in spots.

I don't think his work-rate would be high enough to give Moreno issues.

Rigo lands the occasional explosive combo, but its not enough unless he KO's Moreno.

Half way through the fight Moreno gets use to the speed and dominates the final 5 rounds. IMO

You don't see a big difference in speed, are you kidding me? Moreno is pretty slow compared to other 118-122 fighters. He does not have fast hands. Rigo does.

These are two of my favorite dudes. Its a hard one to call and its an interesting match up between two ring generals. Although, admittedly, it'll be candidate for most boring fight of the year....

Rigondeaux isn't necessarily a speed demon. I wouldn't consider him slow, but speed will never be one of his major advantages coming into a fight, especially with a boxer as unconventional as Moreno. What makes Rigo appear "fast" sometimes is the fact that his pace/angles can be very unpredictable. He's a sniper if there's ever been one, extremely accurate and heavy-handed.

Moreno on the other hand, isn't fast or strong. But he's another one of those awkward dudes that frustrate the hell out of you. Has great movement, and has this almost "snake" like style where he looks like he's actually weaving and wrapping around your arms. He exploits opportunity and will outpoint the s**t out of you

Moreno, to me, is the more Complete boxer. But what has slowed Moreno down in the past just so happens to be Rigo's line of expertise, and that's effective body punching. Rigo's arguably the most dangerous bodypuncher in the game now.

And don't confuse Rigo's poise for him not being able to be active. You don't get to be the most decorated Amateur champion of all time by standing still and counterpunching.

I got Rigo on this one.

I voted for Rigo because Moreno seems to lead a lot even though he's a defensively minded fighter. Cue Rigondeaux landing a bomb on him sooner or later. I wouldn't be surprised at a Moreno UD though, and I'd support him if it happened. Which unfortunately it won't

Rigo is fast but doesnt throw enough and likes to throw single punches.

Moreno is so hard to hit but also throws alot and would have rigo really frustrated. Rigo would fight like he did againt cordoba and would lose
