Fort Worth Convention Center Arena in Fort Worth, Texas - Middleweight contender Brian Vera (20-6, 12 KOs), now with veteran trainer Ronnie Shields in his corner, returned for the first time since last year's decision loss to Andy Lee, and won a tough eight round unanimous decision over Taronze Washington (14-17, 7 KOs).
