  • Nielsen-Vega, DeGale-Sanavia + undercard. RBR and discussion.

Tonight heavily hyped prospect Patrick Nielsen fights his first 12 rounder against Gaston Vega from Argentina.

Also on the card is brit James DeGale taking on italian veteran Christian Sanavia for the european title. Why that fight ended up in a small town in the danish outskirts is anybodys guess.

Also on the card is the anticipated return of Reda Zam Zam who returns after a 5 year absence due to a faulty brainscan and a prolonged juridical struggle.

Zam Zam is in the fourth round against Bronislav Kubin. Kubin was floored in the third, but here in the fourth Reda has got a bad cut.

ZamZams cut looks real bad. It would be a huge letdown if he is stopped due to the cut which was caused by an accidental headbutt.

Zam Zam connects with several big right hands and Kubin goes down.

Up again but takes a volley of powershots and the ref steps in.

          Great comeback for Reda!

Zam Zam took a few too many punches for my liking, but hell improve as he gets the rust off.

His record now stands at 25-1.

As far as I could see from the replay it was a clash of heads. Reda said the same in the postfight interview.

He added that he had trained for 15 weeks and he wasn't satisfied. He felt he might have left some fight in the gym.

He is billed as the new Mikkel Kessler. He has participated in several mainstream TV shows including dancing with the stars where he placed second. He is also a likeable kid and is only 21.

Big things is expected from him and his talent cannot be denied. The fear is that Sauerland feeds him to the lions to soon.
