I think John could go there for Salido, it's more winnable fight for him than Gamboa was.
And actually Uchiyama challanged Broner, just that kid doesn't want no part of that Japanese knockout power. Still I'd rather see Broner - Salgado, Mendez, Burgos as well than had Salido leaving his best weight-class. Salido should fight Jhonny Gonzalez and then eventually Garcia - Caballero winner, that's one awesome schedule.
Uchiyama stays in Japan and Japan doesn't even recognize the WBO. So unless Uchiyama makes a move to America, why the f**k would Broner go there to fight him???
That's just unrealistic. See, if there was only one title, we wouldn't have this problem.
Well, for the same reason why Uchiyama would go to U.S, for legacy and greatness.
Still if Uchiyama mentioned Broners name I'm sure he meant he's ready to go to U.S, just like Nishioka would like to get Donaire fight in States.
But, even if it's unrealistic, like I said - I still prefer those other top 130's for Broner as if Broner-Salido fight happes, we would lost possible great match-ups at 126 that I'd rather see.
It's still just unrealistic for Broner, the guy int he power postion, to travel to fight Uchiyama. It's just not going to happen, not even worth wasting time to talk about.
I'd like Salido-Garcia/Caballero, Salido-Gonzalez, as well. Still, I'd love to see Broner-Salido as well this fall if those other fights don't pop off. And I'd still like to see Broner fight Salgado, Mendez, Ponce rematch, before leaving 130.
Broner is a young flashy american fighter so he's gonna win all these fantasy fights, it's gonna take several Ponce De Leon performances to wake people up.

Montiel went to Japan to fight Hasegawa even though his belt wasn't recognized there. The arena was packed and japanese promoters have juicy tv deals so you know he made a lot of dough.
