To be fair, Sergio hasn't exactly been smoking any one out lately. Macklin gave him a pretty tough fight, Barker gave him problems as well. The Williams and Dzinzuruk were blow out wins. He has knocked out all of those guys out, but in his last two fights he looks like he's been needing to do a lot more to get the KO against fighters who didn't seem to be on his level coming in to the fight. Lara is a different fighter from Williams, Dzinzuruk, Macklin and Barker.

LMAO...LAra would get broken to pieces by Martinez. He needs to realize that Martinez is on another planet than Hearns was

Molina didn't beat $h1t, he managed to get a draw against an opponent full of antibiotics an infection he got 3 days before the fight, that couldn't train properly because his head trainer was with another fighter in Ireland, still Lara hit him with the best and cleanest punches of the fight and hurt late, common he, Lara, will make him look like a child if they ever meet again, Lara is asking for this fight I'm sure it will be next...

That's what I'm talking about, it is not the Hearns fight it is the talent that Lara possesses what will present the danger here...

I thought Martinez would beat Lara until I read Richardson's words. lol

****m said Cunningham would "destroy" Hernandez (he's Steve's trainer); Yoan Pablo won convincingly. Richardson said Rios would beat Abril (and, frankly, so did I); "El Tigere" schooled Rios.

Please keep betting against the Cubans, ****m, maybe they'll keep winning! lol

And people are talking about Martinez's straight left vs Lara's overhand left... I saw Lara throwing straight lefts yesterday...

I really think with Lara's traps and Sergio's hand down style, Lara wins. We already saw Martinez doesn't fight too well vs counter punchers/passive fighters until he adjusts sooo...

Martinez would break Lara down and get him out of there. Some of you on here really don't like Martinez or just don't think he is all that which is fine but dude is getting KO's even after his opponents are putting up a fight and who were not garbage fighters. Martinez is the goods, so keep thinking he is overrated if you want. Lara got robbed in the Williams fight but guess what? Sergio blew Williams out in the rematch and even arguably got robbed in their first fight. I would love to see the fight and after Martinez gets Lara out of the ring, watch the same people say that "Martinez made Lara move up where he wasn't comfortable" or "Lara is not that experienced". Same thing these same people said about Sergei who was/is considered a solid fighter. Barker had a solid defense and Macklin arguable got robbed against Sturm. Lara got a draw against Molina, couldn't put Williams out after beating him up the whole fight and just blew out a never was fighter in Hearns and I'm supposed to believe that this kid can beat Martinez? The sport needs to put him in a fight against a top opponent so we can see what he is really made of before people jump out the window talking about he can beat Martinez.
