that fight was pretty one sided if you watch it again. he said it was his hardest fight because he used logic when talking about it.

He didn't think someone with burtons record could pose a threat. If someone 0-100 landed 1 punch, only 1 punch in 10 rounds.. but it cut or hurt him, he'd probably say that was his toughest fight ever.. because " This guy never hit or beat anyone, ever. So I wasn't expecting that ".

When you think of the best "boxers" floyd has ever faced cotto actually comes up on a very short list.

Oscar was by nowhere close to being a pure boxer by the time floyd faced him and cotto did beat judah who floyd had trouble with.

Cotto is a boxer/brawler, which is the rarest style in boxing. That alone makes him dangerous for Floyd because it's a look that Floyd isn't used to.
