Lara should fight the hypejob Canelo first but it wont happen. Lara has to become mandatory-challenger, so if the Top-fighters and hypejobs dont want to fight him he should continue to destroy B-Class Opposition like he did last night but do it every 3 months! Lara has fight more often, deliver more spectacular KOs and he will be a much bigger draw and bring some money to the table.

Lara is good fighter he's technically good as are the majority of cubans. However, I believe he's being over rated due to the Williams fight. Martinez would be a step too far at 160.

90% of the people here hop on and off bandwagon's at every opportunity. At the moment there on that Lara bandwagon one bad performance and they'll hop off.

Also has everyone forgotten the Lara vs Molina fight? Sergio beats this guy

We haven't forget, but do you remember that a sick and out shape Lara-not Molina's fault- landed the better and cleanest punches of the fight, hurt Molina in the latest rounds, what do you think will happen when they face each other, Lara ask for the rematch after his fight with Hearns, with in shape and without any tooth problem? I'll bet all my points with you that Lara will take Molina to school...

Lara beats Molina, that wasn't my point. The point was he struggled with molina and him calling out Sergio at 160 is not gonna end up well for him

The case can be made that B-hop is even older, but these are two diametrically opposed fighters in terms of styles. Sergio fights as if he was 20, exciting, hands low, daring his opponent to punch (and getting tagged more often in his last two fights). Hopkins has always fought as a veteran, measured, rangy, and taking no unnecessary risks. That is the key to Hopkins’ longevity. Mártinez hasn’t fought anyone lately that has both: Good athleticism and good boxing craft. Erislandy Lara has both, specially a solid defense, which neither Macklin, Barker, Williams nor Pavlik had. Mártinez –Lara would make a good matchup if they don’t wait too long.
Martinez started boxing late (when he was 20 years old) and hasn't received a lot of punishment and that's also one of the reasons he still is in great shape even though he's 37 years old.

So let me get this, he struggled with Molina, we all know, which is in the past, but now you agreed that he will beat Molina and fighting Martinez will be bad for him, then I don't see why bringing Molina's fight (I'm almost sure you agreed Lara beats Molina now) has any input on a Lara-Martinez fight, let me say this, while Martinez is a heck of an athlete, Lara is a heck of a boxer, actually Lara beat Williams easier than Martinez-PW first fight and I only can dream what a second fight with Williams will look like, I suggest that you expand your explanation because "is not gonna end up well for him" doesn't show anything, and if past fights suggest anything is that SM is losing some speed, Lara is twice the fighter Macklin and Barker put together, is he going to win, I don't know I hope he does, but what I'm sure is that he ain't taking a beating...
