Comments Thread For: Bradley Looking To Come in Light For Pacquiao Clash

The training camp for junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley is starting to heat up.
On June 9th, Bradley moves up to the welterweight division when he challenges WBO champion and Filipino icon Manny Pacquiao inside of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Speaking to Bradley’s trainer Joel Diaz at length recently, I was able to get some insight on how things are shaping up at their Palm Springs, California headquarters.

He should come in even lighter than that. Speed is his best friend in this fight, he can't be as fast as Pacquiao but he should make sure not to bulk up much.

you wont be faster than manny...just focus on technique and stick to a good game plan.cause if you get reckless and swinging wide like you do you will get hit between your punches and wake up on your stool surrounded by people wondering what happened

You got to give Bradley credit for his work ethic.

          He's a very hard worker.

Regardless of whether or not Pac-FMJ goes through or not, if Manny KO's Bradley and beats JMM on an even playingfield (neutral judges and all) and beats him convincingly in the enevitable 4th fight he will instantly solidify his status as an ATG. With notable names like Cotto, De la hoya, Barrera, Hatton, Morales, Bradley and yes 3 times Marquez under his belt he will have deserved it.

Solid Muscles? Hopefully Bradley will not be too slow to hit.

I gather he'd weigh more than 147 on fight night, so why come in anything less than 147 at weigh-in???? Should always weigh as close to fighting weight at weigh in as possible.

wow... now you guys are all claiming that a win over Bradley will solidify him as an all time great?!? just wow....

I mean, it would be a good win for Pac and all but it would'nt solidify anything.

hell.... Holt had him KTFO in the first round of their fight. the only reason he got up was because when his head hit the canvas it woke him back up.Yeah, he was able to come back and dominate, but the only reason he wins his fights is cuz it out works his opponents - kinda like Juan Diaz - no power, not a great boxer, just puts in a lot of work but not really THAT great.

Pacs speed should be too much for Bradley too handle ...

Both Fighters got that speed, but, Pacman hits harder and have higher percentage of KO Victories.
