Should be an exciting fight. Froch has a granite chin but his body will take a lot of vicious shots. He won't last more than 7 rounds with Bute.

Nah sorry bro, I remember your posts in the build-up to the Ward fight. It's pretty clear you don't like Froch and think that he's overrated etc and that's cool, but just be honest.Comment

I really don't see Bute stopping Froch, but I could be wrong...One thing I do know,is Bute better be in tip top condition or he will pay a big price...Comment

sorry guys but i am tired of froch talking like he is so good. all the european, british/london based fighters do it. froch, kessler along with haye, chisora etc. none of them are that good and not EVER even mentioned here in the US when we talk boxing. i have bute who also is just ok stopping froch in 8.Comment

I'm British but Froch is overrated. Kessler beat him, Ward schooled him, Dirrell beat him IMO and would school him in a rematch in a neutral venue and with a few adjustments, Taylor was outboxing him before he gassed out. He's also never won a world title buy beating the champion.
This guy has no handspeed, head movement, foot movement, defense, or concussive power, just good at blocking punches with his head.
After this fight hopefully we'll never have to hear his droning voice again...he actually said on t.v 'Two of the judges had the Ward fight almost a draw' which is true but he probably genuinley believes that s***, them judges must've been high or feeling sorry for him receiveing such a schooling or something.
So basically, in conclusion, Bute will school him.Comment

I am a boxing nut,
And I've watched every Froch fight since he turned professional - and also when Bute was making noise I caught his 8th or 9th fight onwards.
The Bute fights I missed during the early years i managed to find on dailymotion.
So before I give my take on it, I have seen these boys fight every style and every situation.
My observation is that Froch has so much more experience than Bute, it really is like night and day. He has fought abroad, in hostile crowds against movers, punchers, and runners.
Dirrell aside, whom we can all agree was one of the most negative performances in the last few years ever seen, Froch does very very well against southpaws indeed.
Right-handed opponents expose that low left, but southpaws naturally hit the other side of Froch's head, where his right glove is tucked under his chin.
Bute has great power, but that's negated by Froch's ability to take a shot. In a shoot-out Froch has out gunned punchers as hard as Bute (Pascal / Abraham) and walked away looking fresh.
Froch has also never flagged or gassed before the end of a fight. And we have seen Bute fall apart against a much lower level fighter than Froch.
But the biggest potential in the fight is how they react to the venue. Froch has often been willing to die in a foreign ring to get the victory - even in defeat he threw bomb till the end.
At home he is a few notches deadlier. About 2,000 of the audience are either friends, family or aquaintances of the guy. The rest are hometown fans.
Bute might not be bothered in the slightest - but of all his 168lb rivals to visit, I'd say Nottingham is the most vociferous and energetic of the lot. They're passionate in that cauldron.
I'd favour Froch's experience, engine and toughness - over Bute's speed and ability.Comment

I feel Froch should win this, I've seen an interview he did a week ago and he says he's at 169lbs already, whether that's good or bad I'm not quite sure yet, but you know what your getting with Froch, he's been tested at this level, and he'll come to fight.
Bute's on the rise at the minute, and looked impressive against Johnson, and it's crossed my mind that Bute could be the first man to stop Froch, with the way that their styles could gel.
But then I tell my mind to shut up and follow my heart.
I just hope he goes in with some subtly in his work for this fight, and uses his fitness and awkwardness to his advantage. He's been on the best run in competition than anyone in any division for my money, and claiming the IBF title would help cement his legacy, and he knows this.
So gooowwaaarrrn you tough bastard. Take him into the trenches and take his title!Comment
