Comments Thread For: Abril Says There is No Grudge With Rios Over Decision

Lightweight contender Richard Abril who is coming off a very controversial loss to Bam Bam Brandon Rios was very upset about not getting a decision that most felt he deserved. It only added another chapter to the already bitter feud between both fighters. Abril and Rios engaged in a shoving match seconds after meeting each other for the first time in Miami when Abril insisted Rios should fight him when Gamboa pulled out of a scheduled fight with Rios. If that wasn’t enough, both fighters almost came to blows a second time at their Los Angeles press conference in route to their fight this past Saturday night in Las Vegas, NV at the Mandalay Bay.

I'll never ever forget: Abril SCHOOLED Rios!

In boxing you have to be humble and noble outside the ring and in the ring, be ferocious but also a gentleman
    Love that quote right there.

That ain't no ****ing class. He's just being coerced to say that there's no grudge because whoever is behind him and boxing knows that class of robbery is way too dangerous for the sport. They figure if the robbery victim, (abril) seems to not care, then why would anyone else.

Why whould he be mad at Rios about that? Rios wouldn't have been the person behind that sort of thing, he merely benefitted.

Don't hate the player hate the game~ so no reason to get twisted at Rios.

WTF, Did you see the fight? That was a boring ass fight.. Abril did not come to fight, he came to win on points by holding and clinching and moving like a puto.

I think he was payed off to keep it cool. I just find it really hard to not be as mad as he should. If he is really not that mad and just is a good guy then I give him all the credit in the world.
