baasically saying he wont just let the city shut it down and that he would buy and renovate it if it was financially possible.
he was very upset as you might imagine and had already made a personal inquiry to dip **** kilpartrick about buying it.
i really think the shame of this story is kwame kilpatrick once again. what he is doing here is a travesty by even his half ass standards. he knows that emmanuel steward will not let the Kronk close, and besides that a lot of other people im sure would back an effort to buy it out to save it. and he proposes closing it because he knows by doing so that it will force someone to buy it ( and he knows someone will for the historical significance) and therefore get it out from under the city's budget crisis without him ever intending to even close it in the first place. i dont know how this guy can look in the mirror and i cant believe how ****** the people of detroit were to re-elect him.
