davis40, you act like i'm souping s**t up, about hopkins fighting @ 175 in his pro debut...the fact of the matter is, bernard hopkins, fought clinton mitchell, at lightheavyweight..and i'm willing to bet the ranch, had bernard hopkins, beat clinton mitchell at 175, and moved up in the 175 lb rankings, there would have been no need, to take a year and a half off, to reinvent himself as a middleweight...imo, bernard hopkins always looked very unnatural, @ 160 lbs...@ 160 lbs., bernard hopkins, looked like a crackhead, honestly...

I dislike Hopkins as much as you do but one thing with me is that if they can make the weight, all power to them. But I agree Bernard is one of this generation's overrated greats.

Why did he refuse to give Trinidad a rematch?

Hopkins as a great fighter with many defenses loses to an Olympian, twice, he was not suppose to lose.

After Dawson lost, he is now fighting him for a 2nd time.

            Tarver wants the rematch.

Hopkins best move he did in boxing is joining Team Delahoya.
Felix would have gotten it worse the 2nd time. Felix's problem was that he couldn't adapt - he only knew how to fight one way. No need for a rematch.

Chad is really feeling himself, ripe for an a$$ whopping.

If Tarver wanted a rematch, he should have done it after he got schooled. Why wait now? Besides, he'd have to come back down to 175, so he really don't want a rematch. Plus, he's looking to go to heavy....Tarver has bigger fish to try.....

He went with Golden Boy after he starched De La Hoya with that body shot, LOL

why would hopkins rematch two guys he destroyed? what's the point in that? maybe Mayweather should have rematched Corrales and Gatti. makes no sense. rematches are for close fights or controversial fights, not one sided fights.

anyways I see dj***ball is still crying about hopkins weight. last time I checked there are plenty of other 6'1 middleweights such as Pavlik and Taylor. hell, there are plenty of fighters 6 foot and taller UNDER middleweight. and I know what quote he's talking about all it is is Hopkins bragging about how great of shape he stays in and how its hard work. if a man stays at 160 for 15 years obviously he's not draining himself or he would be a weak fighter and hopkins was always known to have phenomenal stamina in his prime.

and crackhead, really? the man in my avatar looks very fit and healthy.
